COLD CALLING · MAC
Cold calling on your Mac.
For cold calling on a Mac you need a calling app, a headset and good lines. ROYVIRA adds to that: the Mac app plays your own recordings with a tile or a keyboard shortcut into your calling app through BlackHole 2ch. It runs on macOS 14 or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel, and it is free.
Your Mac as a cold calling workstation
Many salespeople now call through a softphone in the browser or as an app on their computer. If you work on a Mac, everything is in one place: CRM, calendar, calling app. What is often missing is a tool for the lines you repeat in almost every call.
ROYVIRA is a Mac app built for exactly that. It runs next to your calling app. You record your lines once and play them during the call while you listen and prepare your next question.
ROYVIRA is not a softphone: you keep calling in your calling app.
How the sound gets from your Mac into the call
So the other person hears your live voice and your clips, ROYVIRA uses the virtual audio driver BlackHole 2ch. The original installer is included in the app download. After the setup, ROYVIRA combines your voice and clips into it while ROYVIRA runs. The status line in the soundboard shows whether the other person hears you.
- In ROYVIRA: go through “Set up call audio” and choose your microphone and headphones.
- In your calling app: select BlackHole 2ch as the microphone and your headphones as the output.
- BlackHole 2ch must not be the output of your Mac or your calling app.
- Check with a test partner: voice alone, clip alone, both together and Stop clips.
Shortcuts while ROYVIRA is in the background
During a call your calling app or CRM is usually in front. Global shortcuts still start your clips. For this ROYVIRA needs one macOS permission: Accessibility. Under Settings, Shortcuts you can see whether shortcuts work.
Without permission, simply start clips with your mouse on their tiles. On Apple keyboards, also press fn for the function keys.
Your data stays on your Mac
Your voice clips are stored locally on your Mac. Sign-in and licence checks use an account service. Create backup saves your clips, board, shortcuts and settings in a backup file. When you move to a new Mac, you restore that backup there.

The setup guide takes you in ten steps from the download to your first checked clip. Each step shows what to do and how you can tell that it worked.
